Three
time a year the National
Symphony Orchestra
along with special guests host evening concerts on the lawn of the
U.S. Capitol building. These events occur on Memorial Day, the Fourth
of July and Labor Day. The Fourth of July concerts are especially
attractive because they include the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks
demonstration which can be seen overlooking the concert stage.
Listed below are selected concert
classics from various bands and orchestras. Click on any title to
listen to the selection. Included are the Star-Spangled Banner,
America the Beautiful, the traditional marches of John Philip Sousa
